If it’s the Adrian Curtis I know he’s a prolific writer ranging over angling and railways

You might be right there Nev.
Think he's a journalist that had a particularly spooky experience when at Redmire Pool.

I'm in. As an aside, the estate has been sold and do far it's situation normal. There was a recent, massive desilting and clear up including removing the ghost carp.

Apparently that's what caused the delay in publication Nobby as they had to update some of the text to reflect the change in ownership.

Cheers Steve, any further details, ie is there a website?

Don't think there is a website Nobby … I've got the e mail addresses of both of the authors but don't think it's fair to state them here. I'll post back on here when the book becomes available and how to purchase a copy.

Likewise! The only really scary thing about Redmire is the portaloo which was last cleaned the day after Walker caught Clarissa! :laughs:

Launch at the Rod Hutchinson tribute weekend.
Think I'll pop along and get there early as it's likely to be heaving with camo dressed carpers.

Available from Stephen now Steve. Great read may go down as an angling classic. The old school carpers from the 50's mostly deceased now. Was a very prolific water in its day. Conditions probably never to be seen again in this country
