I received this book as a present recently.
The girlfriend bought it from Waterstones or Amazon so a mainstream publisher.
I wasn't sure what to expect but I have to say I really enjoyed the book.
It's well written, captivating and interesting.
It's not a 'how to' book, but gives a great insight into fly fishing and its history.
Will it help you catch more fish - I doubt it
Will you become a better angler by reading it - I doubt it.
Will you enjoy the book even if you don't fly fish - probably
Did I enjoy reading it - Absolutely
Did I learn some fascinating insights into fly fishing - Absolutely
Will I re read the book - very likely
Would I recommend - Yes
Price on the dust jacket is £14.99.
Well worth the money and I thought a great read.
Hope this helps

I've read this earlier in the year, not many angling books start with a nod to Tolstoy. A decent read.
If you wanna go fishing go fishing.- John Gierach
