This is apparently from the 1880s. The Leonard Rod Shop, pretty much a Yiddish preserve.

Thomas Rod Co..jpg

The F.E. Thomas Rod Company from around 1935.

I've ordered this for a read.

I do like a bit of bamboo.
Wasn't Ed Engle a mate of JG's?

He still is and AK Best though AK is 87 now.

More boring stuff below, as well as AK you can watch John and Ed.

A few have maybe Koke Winter?

His mate Mike Clark who is in most of the books is still at it.

The price of those rods in the states is very expensive, especially the rods made by Per Brandin :afraid: But as Gierach mentions in "Fools Paradise" back in 2008 it's got really crazy the prices and most are bought to hang on the walls and not to be used.

I just like looking and reading about old stuff.

Old stuff kinda interests me. But not so much old American fly fishing stuff, and certainly not old panda fodder of any description!!!
