Sheep ID??
Met a few of these in a field today. A bit rough and ready compared to pampered toys

Re: Sheep breed of the week
Thanks Dave.
What ever he is he didn’t mind Benson being close,
They have had sheep overwintering in the park for a few years now, they’ve not signposted the field yet but previously have had Manx and Hebridean’s.

Re: Sheep breed of the week
What's going on here?
Some sheep breed associations horn brand sheep deemed to be uop to spec, as it were. Swaledales are branded with a crown, Lonks like this on are branded with a star.
I've yet to learn why some are 'double starred'. A few breeders also have their own brand - usually their initials.
