I missed out on the elder flowers around here. I was meaning to try making some cordial but I blinked and they were gone.
I did get some particularly good bits of elder pith from a garden clearance job a few weeks back though.
…that will go into my monstrous collection of likely float making material, and somebody will ponder why I kept rotten sticks when I shuffle off and they have to clear it all.

There wasnt a single bit of blossom on the hawthorn hedge at the back this year, nor flowers on the elders dotted along the hedges. Hope its not a widespread thing up here or the winter migrants will be having a lean time of it...

Lots of hawthorn berries round here. My Oxeye Daisies are having a second flourish.
