Some Red Kites
As a few people seemed to like my Stoat pics in Dave's recent thread, thought I would post some of the Red Kites of Mid Wales

Greats shots of some really beautiful birds. It’s a shame they were very nearly persecuted out of existence. Number one for me!

More excellent shots! Third one for me too due to the eye sharply shown.

Top bird of prey the kites , when we have a big hatch of dragon flys at Dungeness reserve , in July we have upwards of forty kites and hobbies circling the thermals above the ponds feasting on the dragons
An awesome display

Is that the lake near Aberystwyth Chris? I've been there a few times, get there 45 minutes before feeding time and there are hardly any to be seen then when it gets near time you can see them flying in from miles around.Well worth a visit if anyone on here is around that way anytime.

It's Bwlch Nant y Arian RSPB centre, there is a lake there too (was looking for fish!) there's a couple of places not a million miles away, think one is called Gigrin farm which is about £3 to watch them being fed, can't recall the other one.
