Still getting to grips with the X10, but the 'best frame' setting that takes 8 or16 shots in a row (so you can pick the best) might be handy for self-takes.

on a single press Dave? that is helpful.

Is the screw thread air release a standard fit? I saw a comment somewhere from a bloke complaining his existing cable didn't fit.

Single press with selectable interval between shots - as in slow through to fast.

My bulb release doesn't fit. Image There are two threads available for releases and the Fuji has the wider (professional?) one. Typical.

I use it all the time, Chris. What I like most is that it feels and handles pretty much like a 'real' camera. As in a film camera.

It's not a DSLR, but it's bloody good for a compact.

Orbs are only a problem if there's a light source or bright point reflection in the frame. Not something I shoot much of. And to be honest, they're only really, really noticeable at 100% where the hard edge shows up. I also got a strange fringing thing going on shooting a sillhouette - but again at anything less than 100% you can't tell and it was straight into the sun.

Weird fringing round the nose when viewed at 100%. I'm shooting in RAW now so this has been played with to bring out shadow detail.

The close up facility is superb. I took this today (fairly heavily processed).

Firmware upgrade out Dave - addresses a few bits and bobs as well as a stab at the orbs....

Already upgraded, Chris. Image Nice to be able to assign another function to the the 'RAW' button.

I haven't tried to make any orbs since though. Image

Agreed a deal today - neither Fuji or Canon Image

I went for an EPL2 in the end and got a good deal. So I get to have the same sensor I had on my E600, but in a more compact body and I've enough cash left to get a nice little pancake prime for it, to give me a very "carryable" little camera Image I do like the sturdy build quality of the Olys
