Bad pics of little birds

I don't go out to photograph birds these days, but when I see them I tend to take photos of them with my unsuitable lenses! Hence these are big crops.

I'm sure Mick will have some better pics, but it's always makes me smile to watch tree creepers and nuthatches working up and down trees trunks.

The lens I used for the little birdies is only a cheapo 70-300. And the tree creeper is a near 100% crop from the (now binned) original.

I'm sure if I'd used a 400mm f/2.8 it would have been a bit better.

And I'd be living on toast for a couple of years!

Whats wrong with toast Dave, a very versatile food source IMO, if you are allowed to put something else on it, like butter .

We have had a Tree Creeper visiting our garden this winter, I was quite excited to see it, whilst I was sitting, eating my toast .
