All legit. They're fenced in to graze off the remains of the crop. And while they're at it they're fertilizing the ground. :smile:

Not really. I got interested in the history, heritage and cultural aspects of sheep farming/breeding a few years ago.

I've been to a sheep dog trial today.* They're as obsessed with trials as some pikers are with pike. They're planning a nine trials in nine days marathon!! :dizzy:

It sure is, and I used to clip mine (Suffolks and Mules ) just with Hand Shears, very satisfying work but as you said Dave, kind of hard on the back, its a job for young guys with strong backs.

Only sheard sheep on holidays in Wales, the farmer was not impressed, was hard work, love wales
