Down south lambs are 2 a penny Dave... One small holding is bursting with twins, so they won't be complaining, though it's funny how in each twin one of them is significantly bigger.. Greedy butting going on as they jostle for milk

There'll be some around here as I know the biggest local sheep farm was due to lamb this month. The ewes have been in teh lambing shed for a couple of weeks or more. I've just not been out and about anywhere to look. Getting soft in my old age and stayed in while the weather was freezing!

I miss going to the sheep sales, so I watch them on-line! Nowt too special today but these goats were a surprise. The kids were extremely cute trotting round the ring, but to 800 guineas cute!

Saw some lambs in fields today. Some a couple of weeks old others younger. Too far away to photograph.

I had not realised that they were pygmy goats, did they keep falling over in the ring and going all stiff then jumping up again , so funny to watch little goats when they do that, there is footage on youtube of them doing just that, some strange condition which causes them to collapse although it does not seem to harm them
I had some lambs once that did that, if one of the dog chased them they would literally collapse, the dogs then lost interest and left them alone, the lamb would then get up a carry on eating.

I've seen footage of goats doing that but the kids were fine, trotting around either side of their mum. Both kids females so that's three to breed from for the money.
I've seen sheep at dog trials just drop as if they're dead. It's as if they can't be arsed running around and give up. They've always always come round again after a few minutes, although being sheep I'm sure some do drop dead. In fact there's a story from Tony Illey about him doing a demo in Holland, I think, where a sheep did drop dead. He picked it up, slung it over his shoulders and walked off to applause. The crowd thought it was all part of the show!!
Have you seen the goats dancing to Saturday Night Fever? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dUEf6m ... =MKAStudio

Haha, yes I have seen that before Dave, do you reckon they may have been hobbled ? I could not really tell, you could see what looks like straps around their ankles but no tether between.
Really strange and very funny.

I found another video that shows goats with things round their angles which seem to be rattles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8XeUh7 ... anOfficial

The fields are full of lambs now, racing each other around the fields
