In 1892, loggers proudly displayed the overthrow of this 1310-year-old sequoia, 361 feet tall; about 128 meters. Its dimensions were so impressive that the ′′ Madeira Kings ′′ of the time had a 9 meter long saw made, and took 8 days to saw it. :eek:

And it looks like they bu99ered the saw in the process! Impressive lump of timber though! Now, who was it that wanted an 18ft round coffee table?

Damn right, so would I! Imagine doing a cut like that with a chainsaw with 18ft of bar wobbling about and some poor bu99er hanging on to the noisy end of 40ft of flying chain!

I watched someone on YouTube cutting down a big big redwood and he was cutting a wedge out the size of a mini :eek:
