Let me watch him yards away hop from tree to tree.... Never seen on in 5 + years from where i was.

Why are you pics not being displayed as normal?

I have Goldies through my garden, they nest in the conifers nearby.
One of the few British birds that nest below the branch rather than on it.

He certainly is a fine looking little fellow.

Are the females drab, (as in many bird species?), or can't you tell the difference.

The difference between males and females is hardly noticeable, even negligible, yet the most distinctive difference is the crown of the male Goldcrest, which has a tendency to become more prominent during mating displays. The male will bow its head and raise its coloured crest in a bid to attract a female mate during the breeding season.
