Owls

Lol I know it's heracy now but back as a teenager I kept a tawny owl and a little owl for a while.

Same here but mine was a little owl that I'd taken from its nest which was a dug out i think either in some bales of straw or in the ground going under the bales. I was always shoving my hands down holes then.

Didn't have it long i suspect one of my neighbours rescued it from me one night.

That was probably 50 years or more ago and i cringe at that now.
Side note: loads more butterflies around then.
