Ted

Post by Freako »

Been fortunate to photograph this bird for a while now, I think I now have an image I really like.

Hope you are not bored by Ted.

Seriously. Nice pic of a nice pose.

Nit picking hat on...

What's the lighting set-up?

Cloning out the two r/h catch-lights might be worth a try.

A little more rim light camera right would have lifted him from the background more and the shadows are a bit harsh on the log. :exit:

I agree with all you say Dave, the highlife is noted and in previous pics I did just that. I am playing around with the lighting at the minute and agree with your comments. I am lighting for focus with a red led now, with a couple of flash units.

I've been messing about with flash at home. It's a steep learning curve and there always seems to be just one more gadget that's required! :laughs:

I wasn't going to mention the cost. :giggle:

If I'd known what I needed to start with I'd have saved hundreds! Still, I sold four lenses and had to spend the money on something...
