i believe its a Five-Spot Burnet Moth, taken last night when out for Deers

im sure its a 5, with the wings closed the 5th spot is tucked to the right and left of the top red spot. So when the wings open it shows 5...

Spots are round, there are three on each wing.
You dont count the others, they are blotches.
Thats what I was taught when I studied Lepidoptera.
