I was very lucky to see an Osprey on the tidal last week, and even luckier to film it.

Great spot Pete, do you think it was fuelling up ahead of a journey to warmer climes?

Yes it looked like a this year's juvenile probably making it's way down south before the big crossing.

An amazing journey especially for a juvenile, hopefully it makes it back to breed in the future.
Love to see them when I up in the Lake District.

A lake i fish has an Osprey pop by now and again they don't arf drop into the water with quite an impact. The Resident Red Kites very often chase it off.
The Red Kite's are far more elegant in catching fish merely swooping down catching them on or near the surface, they then settle in one of the tree's to feed on their meal.
