story behind the injured one. i was 15yrds away as the rut kicked off and happened, incredible, its the same one swimming (retreating) through the lake with the bracken attached. i legged it around the other side and got the rest.

Ah another excellent thread from the now very famous wildlife photographer
Must say I liked the shot of the heron looking down the lens.

Funny how injured deer always go to water, must be something about escaping a predator.
