Dont see too many of them down my way now. I used to love watching them boxing in the fields! Haven't seen that happen for many years
Never hold discussions with the monkey when the organ grinder is in the room.

Nice Dave... great contrast the vibrant green against a warm brown of the Hare, so many variances within their fur.

Nice pics and beautiful animals. Used to see them here in Ireland, rare to spot them these days.

Perhaps not so much in the quieter rural fields, Peter?

They're a very common sight on the local fields that I roam with my metal detector. It always amazes me how they break cover so close to me and until they made a dash for the horizon I hadn't even seen them.

It’ll be the Red Kite, the Hare was common here years ago but they’ve steadily all gone but that’s what predators do - gotta eat something and it’s the same with rabbits now very rare.

Steve I base this on walking a lot of rural fields (often with a lure rod!) - and seeing far fewer than same areas 15 years ago.

Do see and hear of damage / aggro from coursers, so must be some; unsure if they have contributed to decline?

Maybe. The fields around here are full of them, so it must be a localised population decline.
