Looks nice and calm there. Been blowing a nasty easterly here today.

It was chilly at first light, but then the wind dropped. River will go back over the top by Sunday night looking at the forecast. The Jays were busy nest building, plenty of Kytes and Common Buzzards on the wing. Plus Roe Deer bolting, all in all a good day.

Quite, old boy. Next week will see the ruffians rightly given a flea in their ear and banished from the rivers for three months Luckily, they're daft enough to actually support this, believing that the close season was put in place to to protect spawning coarse fish...

Oh sh** John its fu***** Sunday you ain't ever going fishing at this rate and besides it's Church day is Sunday and thee better go because you'll be outcast and ostrichsized by the whole parish if thee doesn't go.
