Your definitely not one of them Jas. you know all about control. Your on the hunt every day. Sometimes you get a swift kill others just an irritating flesh wound.
Just remember some are a little further left :laughs:

I was aiming at those that lurk amongst us :suspect:

Yes, I read the original.
Kenzie Thorpe, he said he had the night shooting rights to all of Narfalk?
Oddly enough he was a big friend of Peter Scott and it was he who kept their wing- tipped ducks and geese in a pen behind his house, birds which later became the early stock for the Wildfowl Trust.

Wildfowlers who shot at a bird but only a pellet or two caught the tip of its wing didn't kill the bird but kept it as a pet. This was because many such birds were unable to fly again and a 'fowler would not kill it again. Might seem odd to those who haven't shot and it's difficult to explain, something to do with the bird or animal giving you the opportunity and because you missed it you wouldn't take it again.

Sorry Dave, thread drift again

Talking of books did anyone read.

Nathan A Pit Fighting Dog

I mey of got the title wrong

It was about a dog (back in the day) that used to fight other dogs and things
But it was the dog that was telling the story.
