Just back from the vets
Just back from the vets
Just fetched my bulldog Nell back from the vets, had a caesarean, just one male puppy about twice the size he should be,
The vet nurse asked what I would call him-----I said how does "Billy no mates" sound, she gave me a slap round the head
nowt worse than having a singleton pup to raise, gonna end up a spoilt mardy little swine

Re: Just back from the vets
I saw the thread title and wondered if Kev had been to get himself 'doctored'...
Neville would be a nice name for a pup.

How's about googles
Re: Just back from the vets
couldn't possibly call him any of those dreadful names----he might be a sensitive little soul like me
plus it would be very tempting to kick him up the a**e
he's doing very well at the moment, guzzling on his bottle, his mum dosnt want anything to do with him which happens quite a bit with caesarean births, she is just lying on the settee giving me the dead eye and looking offended (cos Ive just stuffed some tablets down her)

Sorry to hear that Kev.
Re: Just back from the vets
Just one of those things, seen it happen so many times especially when hand rearing. Seemingly healthy vibrant pups just go downhill and a whole litter can die in 24 hours, not much you can do at such a young age, pump them full of Synulox (anti biotic) keep them warm and hydrated and hope for the best. Brachycephalic breeds are notorious for fading puppy syndrome.
Thanks for the sympathies, he was a cracking looking pup.
