What kind of fuckwit leaves a dog in a car, with the windows shut, in an open field on a day like today?

My car's thermometer was reading 30+ when I got back to it at an agricultural show around 12.30. There'd been calls on the PA for someone to go and let their dog out of a Berlingo. The third announcement said the police were going to smash one of the windows. Then there were a couple more calls to other pet owners. It's not as if dogs weren't allowed on the show ground.

I hope the f*****s did get their car window smashed.

I could think of a more caustic turn of phrase than fuckwit. When our Staffie was alive I would not even walk him in this heat let alone leave him in a car, some people do not deserve to own a pet, thick as mince.

Love the sun shine but when its like this I do fear for the animals,Feel for the gypsie horse's back home,they were tied up and had no shade and could only walk round in a tight circle,can you imagine how they were suffering,at least down here all the horse's can run around and find shade etc,that was Harlow where the horse's were tied up.I have my pond for my koi and goldfish and I have a little area where my gnomes are and i have a waterfall there as well, Didn't take the wildlife long to find it,it is like a oasis, no other fucker round here has one,might go and watch football now or have a shower,which ever is more exciting,shower I think

My boys laying on the floor with a fan in front of him

He was a belter Tom, when it was hot it was a run over the wreck very early in the morning. Then he used to lay in the back garden with a wet blanket or get in the paddling pool to cool off.

He was also a tart, he ran in after this photo in a hail storm.

Just over eight years now when he was put to sleep owing to old age and arthritis. But he is still sorely missed.

Until you’ve had a dog ,you’ll never know how attached you can get .
Child and best friend rolled into one
He at least gets excited when I get home from work.
He’s a shar-pei 10 years of age and in perfect health and I hope he stays that way .
Don’t want to think about the other .

My two dogs have not been out walking at all this week. Normally they tear around the garden if they don't get a run out but not this week.

They are just lying around in the cool parts of the house. I can't believe idiots leave them in cars in this weather.

7am and 9pm walks for Riley......

Got him a paddling pool.....but alas its just a big water bowl to him.

Loads of dog shows on this month and loads of stupid owners prancing their dogs about in the midday sun.

Same time as I take mine out jas, also got him a paddling pool, been freezing his food in a bowel of water too which helps keep him cool

Most Open and Champ dog shows have option of showing outside or inside/under cover Jason in case of inclement weather---those that don't are held inside
quite a few are held on Agricultural show grounds where they are under cover

My four Dobermans have an aircon during the day and fans at night. We wait until about 8 in the evening and then take them to a nearby lake for a swim/paddle

Nothing better than a dog to listen to your daily worries
