Our two were exactly the same Mate. No bother at all, couple shortish walks a day and they were chuffed to bits.

As Si said it's hard Andy, my old Staffie was put to sleep 11 years ago today at 18.50hrs. People who never have owned a dog don't get it at times. But as you mentioned she had a good life, that's all we can do.

What makes it worse is my 5 & 1/2 yr old Rottie back in mid January woke up after a walk & had lost all control of her back legs!
X Rays showed nothing & now 3 months later & half way through a course of Steroids looks like best result is she’s to become a house dog!
Vets again this Friday where they’re gonna try & persuade me to part with 2.5k for an MRI!

As much as I love the dog I don’t see the point tbh!

I think it might be Wobbly Leg Syndrome which is quite common in large breeds?

Sorry to hear that Andy...15 for a spaniel is a very good innings mate

One of the hardest things youll ever have to do, but you know its the best thing for them....just dont make it any easier though

Well, soft lad's gone in to have his balls off today so no more "steak and kidneys" on show as my mum calls them :)

15 years is amazing Andy, doesn’t make it any easier it’s the hardest choice we ever make, Sofia will always be in your heart though
