Sorry to hear that Karl, its such a painful thing to do, but at the same time knowing you are doing the best for them.

14 is a good innings Karl didn't you say she was like a puppy again when you got mable too? Just out of interest How is mable when your boat is up on the plane? (Even I was a little scared going round those corners!)

Yeah it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.
Had her in my arms as she passed away.

Si, she’s great in the boat. Just sits at my feet while moving, and then comes and curls up with me at bow when the cuddy is down.

“Big brown ear” was the name the keepers wife had given her before we picked her up

Know how you feel Karl! Had to have my Gordon Setter put down a while ago found myself walking around the house with his collar in my hand! Gutted!

As a mate said to me: grief is the price we pay for all the good times we’ve had with them.

By f**k there where a lot of tears that day mate. And the shittiest thing is I know I’ll be doing it all over again

Jax is 18month now randomly loves every dog he meets or wants to kill it no telling which it’s going to be each day, hates any vehicle bigger than a car! Was knocked over before Christmas knocked 2 teeth out and ripped his lip so now hates the vets as well! never a dull moment with him

Jax definitely has the face of a dog with attitude

yup tom, you ask him to smile and you get various degrees of a smile,,sometimes looks like a snarl bu caught this pic like a laugh,,hes came a long way since his stroke in march and doing good,,he has his on way of walking,we call it his pimp walk,,only thing he cant do is jump on bed as its too high,so he just puts front feet up n we hoist him up

My three year old Bedlington Terrier Daisy, she loves being out on the boat at the weekends

This is Lily she's meant to be a big mean Doberman but in reality she's a big soft lump of daftness. On one walk she was feeling curious and went too close to a swan in the margins, the swan hissed and flapped it's wings and the dog tucked tail and run behind me looking up at me as if to say “dad that thing tried to eat me” I always grew up with Springer Spaniels that I trained for the gun so it was a strange adjustment going from Springer to Doberman. Lily is 8years old this April and shows no sign of calming down I've found out that she's no good as a gun dog the shooting she can handle the sitting still is a issue and dropping duck or rabbit is, well, a challenge. She's also not a fishing dog she thinks the bait box is her treats and it's not easy trying to rig up a mackerel with a 6 stone dog wanting to borrow it. My wife has the dog ruined it is most defiantly her dog.

Still a house isn’t a home without a dog so here she is.
