Used to hunt rabbits in the 70's with my whippet "flash "very quick over short distance , also had a lurcher greyhound /sheepdog would run all day long .https://photos.smugmug.com/My-First-Gal ... _001-M.jpg

Brilliant Kenny. We had a wippet in the 70s. Called Fly👍🏻

Nice.
I used a couple of guys to control rabbits, on the really brambly buries they used a whippet and it was a pleasure to watch it work.
Nimble and cautious until the bunny bolted then it was up on its toes and snaffled them neat as a whistle. Don't know why but they always caught higher numbers when they used the dog than nets, maybe because it was quicker to 'set'.

use to go with my dad and uncle when younger. he had a superb beddy/collie cross whippet. was a joy to watch work. andever so clever on the lamp also.

sometimes he use to run off out of the lamp beam on rabbits. and you would think what the hell is he doing, and he would try sneek back in from the outter edge of beam to confuse rabbits. superb dog. also a joy to watch when out long netting. miss those days
