Re: That Packham pest again.
I'd seen Packham and that other dangerous person, Mark Avery, had started the campaign. I didn't expect there to be change any time soon. Why have they caved in?

Nice one , the link I signed was in English so don't know what happened. Anyway, the translation of your second post would be "panocha".

Re: That Packham pest again.
I heard Mark Avery on farming Today this morning. He revealed the real agenda behind this campaign - to get gamebird shooting stopped. He claimed not to have a concern about the genuine control of pests by farmers but questioned its need when it related to released pheasants. The pair of them are a couple of pests that need controlling.

Re: That Packham pest again.
This country is becoming more and more like the USA where the Courts are making decisions rather than the people with the group employing the better barrister winning the argument and the verdict.
As for Packham and his gang of three their agenda has nothing to do with protecting birds, it is the complete elimination of all field sports.
This is just their thin end of the wedge, the success of which will only increase support from those who live in the towns and cities.
With this case catching Natural England completely unprepared I think we must be very careful to watch our backs from now on.
If our branch of the sport was attacked who would you choose to defend us in court, PAC, AT or a crowdfunded barrister who was a pike angler?

Maybe Ian Botham might come out the woodwork and get stuck in, remember one of his previous ideas was to give dead pheasants to the poor
Or perhaps phill Spencer
Realistically in this day and age they would be mad to get involved

Re: That Packham pest again.
Free round my way. The guns pay a shed load of money to shoot but don't want the birds.
Re: That Packham pest again.
No end of them end up getting buried
would be better off just scattering them round for the preds----then they wouldn't have to kill them because they killed the birds they want to kill (for fun)
if ya gonna kill something with a gun then only do so if ya want to eat it

Is it better to have lived and died than never lived at all?
This is the question Packham's group have already answered and their intention is to stop it just as the previous pressure group managed with fox hunting when aided by Blair's New Labour.
So no guesses what commitments JC & Co will support when Labour are looking to win votes at the next election.

What difference will the petition make? Should get over 100000 by tonight, there’s no way the bbc will sack packham, little by little him and his group will bring in rules and regulations and destroy country sports

Hand your licence back. BBC are losing viewers left, right and centre. Well maybe not the left. ☺
