My dog can be fast asleep when I walk into another room. I turn round a second later and he's standing next to me!
Mine too
Does yours have selective hearing as well John
Regards
Tom
Completely selective Tom. He can hear a cellophane wrapper being opened through a closed door but won't come in from the rain unless he's been told about ten times and is satisfied that he's sniffed every interesting object in the garden!

God I miss my dog.
I never have a conversation like that with the wife.

My two muck hounds can tell the time...when its 5pm they suddenly want to get your attention.....feeding time.
They know when I'm putting my boots on if I'm going fishing or its walkies.
On the other hand if it's too early or raining they play dead and wont move.
They lie down in strategic positions feigning sleep but are like coiled springs when Shirley is baking or the grandkids are round...waiting in hope that a morsel may get dropped.
I've never been without a dog or six....and never will be

The guy around the corner from me had a Rhodesian ridgeback the non barking type it was getting on and it had some type of fit and past-way.
He's just got a Belgian Malinoisi crossed with a German Shepard boy oh boy is that a clever dod
This is a Belgian Malinoisi
If I ever get chance to have a dog it would be a Malinoisi X German Shepard

Amazing dogs
Not sure about having one as a pet (to much energy)
At least not until I retire.
