We will never see the like of Jack on TV in our lifetime again. That guys channel has uploaded some good stuff in the last three weeks. I watched the above the other evening.

I used to love watching his programmes. And that channel is a good find. I've just watched the stick and hurdle one and am off to a sheep fair now!

Loved "out of town" in the 60's. Since fished some waters in Kent he filmed...including estate lake with pic of my now- wife on Jack's knee, aged 8! :neutral: :grin:

Not the two places I'm thinking of; estate lake and marsh dyke. Lots of ponds in the weald; some from iron; many unknown reasons. Dad's 180 acre farm had 10+ ponds; typically 30-odd yards wide, 4- 6' deep, with various of rudd, roach, tench, bream, perch , pike and gudgeon. Sadly, those I can fish don't seem the same now.

I recall an episode where Jack fished some small ponds, down that way. He mentioned iron ore, caught Bream. And used the old knotted keep nets.
