Pigeon shooting

A quick calculation suggests that 10,000 pigeons could eat 1 tonne of food per day so need to be controlled.
How a problem species is controlled is the important thing to me and shooting them in this case is the right way.

Someone has had a canny day Dave, I wonder how many guys it took to tally that little lot, there were a couple of guys in the fields behind my house today, I doubt if the got more than a couple of dozen between them.
That reminds me I must try and get some pigeons, I am right out.

The total shot over 3.5 weeks or so is now over 11,000!

thats a incredible amount of wood pigeon dave
where is the area where they have shot that amount do you know by any chance .....

Not sure exactly where the pigoeon are though as he has land in different places, some by the Mersey. He said in the video where he mentions the 11,000 that there are still more pigeons coming in!

That’s literally down the road from me recon he could do more seagulls than that we have hundreds of the flying rats roosting on the buildings next door to us there a night mare

Take care if you or yours has contact with seagull sh1t. It carries botulism and can be transferred to animals, other birds and humans.
Many of the gulls we have around in winter come from northern Europe, lesser black backs and black headed especially.

Don’t get a lot of sh1te only on the cars but we have them all year they breed on the factory roof next to us there a pain in the backside they never shut up
