think ive got to the bottom of it.

There where 30'odd bots reading a lot of pages causing server to be put under a bit of a strain. hopefuly it should even out a bit now they have been blocked.

Is "bots" the new pit vernacular for EEs?

wasnt 30 seperate bots. it was 30 seperate bots from a single search engine. ahrefsbot was one of them

absolute pests. we're just getting busy a lot lately. change in the weather.

Two attempts at posting earlier.........true slug/static speed waiting to see "will it-won't it" be going up.

Both times 57 seconds from clicking "submit" to fading to "SQL Error" screen.........switch-sites-come back......the post has gone up.

The innards need a good oiling methinks........Keep trying Andrew.
