It just made me think (again) that a "like" button/tab (as per Facebook) might be good/useful to respond to posts/posters rather than actually posting to the topic oneself, particularly if you've picked up on the topic a while after the initial posts, or if you're just browsing and not really wanting to put proper posts up.
Just an idea. How about it?
(Bear in mind that i'm an utter technopleb and have no idea how easy/difficult this might be to put in place!
