I was going thru my lures and stuff yesterday and notice my poor old squirly burt is looking a bit the worse for wear around the paint job... whats the best way to refurb it? a jigskinz or a basic paint job (probably spray it one colour a few sharpie marks on it and a quick splash of varnish?
ta in advance

Scrape the whole lot off with a sharp knife, the body is white underneath then recolour using waterproof felt tip pens. All my self coloureds catch better than the originals so its obvious the fish cant tell the difference.
Slip a blade under the eyes and reattach them with araldite. Remove the tail and seal the bottom of tube with more araldite, scrape out the old tail glue and reattach with superglue. Finally readjust the balance so its only just sinks, ideally head first.
Or sell it for more than you paid
