Outboard stand
I needed a stand for my outboard whilst I turned my boat into The Pukka Piker"
I didn't think a metal trolly would be stable enough for the guys wrapping it.
I thought I'd share this link as I surprised myself how easy it was to follow and it worked..
Although my surname is Carpenter wood is my nemesis. Cars, boats, engines and electrics no problem but wood and grain, the grain always wins..
http://boatbuilders.glen-l.com/37055/ho ... tor-stand/
The engine is a Honda 15 and is very stable on the stand even when moving on the castors.
Hope someone finds this as useful as I did.

Re: Outboard stand
NIce wrap job Andy,
like the stand as well, but is it responsible for having to buy new bits

Re: Outboard stand
No thankfully. Honda picked up the bill for the tilt mechanism failure, another guy at the dealer sorted it for me and restored my faith in them again. ( for a short time) Got the engine back last week still waiting for the transom mount that got scored badly to come from Honda.
I have ordered a "transom saver" to give some more support for the distance I travel. (More for peace of mind than a benefit).
The nut that holds the tilt mech came undone, the new nut is locked with a lock tab bent over two flats of the nut, the tab is folded into a hole on the mount. I think the first one just had thread lock and no tab.
Went out Friday - Sat. Started first time noted no water coming out of engine, removed cover both
Outlet pipes not fitted and water filling cowling Fortunately side cowling nuts same size as transducer
Allen key I carry. Shall be having words
(I was going to blame the potholes in your village shaking it loose on my way to the 47)

Re: Outboard stand
I had Creative covers of Catfiled make it.
I supplied the material, as they only had standard camo.

These pics were taken after they made it.
I had the role up window covers added since.

The wrap was done by Coastline graphics of Bury St Edmunds.
Three days work for them, their licensed "Real Tree" suppliers and well worth the money.
It's the carper in me coming out, but I did resist putting the scotties two inches apart
