Home made drop arms

Post by SheffSean »

Now I know some may frown about this but I thought id mention my home made drop arm indicators, I made them in the early 90's when money was very tight, i'll cut to the chase, I got my gear out at the beginning of the week to check over things and to my amazement they still work and they still have the original batteries inside, just thought i'd mention it.

OMG how times have changed, years ago when I first made them I posted the details about these on another Pike fishing forum and I got some stick from some of the other members saying they're not sensitive enough etc because I used Mercury tilt switches, well I've caught dozens of Pike on them and never deep hooked a single one, bear with me and I'll get them out and take some pics, thanks for the positive replies fella's.

Your wright there Del ,when you make something yourself and it works ,that feeling you get is like nothing else.
What it looks like don't matter,as long as it works.
When I did a lot of carp fishing I made my own baits 10mm was my preferred size, the water in question had both Nash and mainline testers fishing it and my baits well and truly out scored theirs.
It's I nice feeling knowing that something you've done and worked at has paid of.

Cpc is also worth a look, but there is a minimum order charge.
