Hi Steve , lovely bit of work that. May I ask what size and weight it is ?
In the end, it’s not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

Cheers Lee. The body alone is 4" and it weighs in at 83g with everything fitted.

If you've ever used a Spinmad or similar, its action is the same as that. It's just more pike-sized and more appropriate for the venues I fish.

What I wanted was a tailspinner that had enough weight to cast as long as possible, whilst still running shallow and remaining castable on my DL Slugger. The body is western red cedar, to make that possible.

Whether they'll be available for sale at some point I'm not sure, but it's a possibility. I'm reaching the end of my lure making season now, and won't start again until April. Between now and then it's time to try out this one and a few others

Please keep me informed how it performs please Steve and if you ever decide to make any let me know . It looks like one of those lures you just know is going to do the business .

Sorry, I only just saw your post.

The "action" comes primarily from the blade, with the chunky body providing casting weight, keeling ballast and a larger presence. It's just a variation on a spinnerbait really.
