Painting Lures
Do you guys use a very small spray gun one that just fits in you hand and if you do, do you need a tiny compressor?
Or can you link it up to a bortabull compressor and turn the presherr right down?
Cheers guys

If you ‘bought a bull’ Grant where are you going to keep it ? You need to seriously think this one through

Re: Painting Lures
I just use waterproof blue, black, green and red felt tip pens,
Simple, low cost and immediate.
If I want a change I just scrape it off with a sharp knife or mark over the top of the original and rub it off quickly.
I have 1/2 pint of rod epoxy in Regular and High Build but never bother to use it on lures. Floats now they are another matter.

You used to ring me up and I'd ring you for chat I never cut you short or didn't pick up as some of the guys you ring do.
If I'v upset you with my micky taking and pulling your leg ie Twatorboy or Ballcock it was a bit of fun.
So please stop acting like an asshole and be the good guy I know
Have a good X-Mass and New Year

Bloody hell, someone's a bit over-sensitive this morning! Perhaps you should stop seeing everything as a personal attack Grant, because that clearly wasn't (and it was quite funny, as it goes!).
Anyway, take a look at the AS-186 compressors. They're a very reasonably priced small compressor, quiet to run, and very good for hobbyist lure airbrushing.

Re: Painting Lures
I’ve always used a 25ltr tool compressor with a filter regulator to turn the pressure down, it doesn’t constantly cycle and it can be turned off to just use the pressure in the tank, if I still painted regularly I’d probably up it to a 50ltr

Re: Painting Lures
Little artists airbrush mate. If you can stretch to a badger or iwata you'll find it easier to use (£80 odd) less likely to clog etc. Someone on here pointed me towards a compressor with a tank, again much better if you can however not essential. It's definitely helped us tho
You can laquer, dip (kbs) or epoxy. For epoxy you'll need a turner. If your looking to make some check out marling baits on youtube. Scroll back to the earlier stuff tho. Also worth a watch is the master that is solar baits. He does some rediculous lures, guys a genius

Re: Painting Lures
Grant in retrospect it wasn’t funny. I really didn’t have much time to work on it, it didn’t even tie in with the topic so it was a poor thing on my part. Sorry Don’t worry you haven’t offended me I’ve been called far worse than an asshole
Anyway I wasn’t aware there were any assholes on here - so apart from me - care to enlighten us
