New rod rack/storage….

Post by brian harrison »

Having had them thrown in a corner, hanging from the roof on T brackets & more recently horizontal on the wall on 40cm bars.
All of which did & didn’t work, I decided to make something else. Pretty simple really, there are batons on the floor to stop the
Butts moving & pipe lagging on the bars, covered with an off cut of carpet for protection.
Hoping this is the last time I have to do this. It seems to work as I can grab n go any of them without any faff.

That is a pretty neat solution to a very familiar problem Brian, well done  .
I have an ex shop display rod stand, it only holds about 20 rods though, your will do loads more than that.

I have always though that was a rather cruel thing to do to a cow, then she started getting far to close to the rods! :laughs:

Looks great!

Why didn't they work hung horizontally on the wall? I was planning that...

Because they are all at different heights, bend down for lower ones & reach over others for top ones, it was a faff.
Better on ceiling from T bars but that blocked a lot of the lights out & again was a faff. This seems easier but time will tell.
