Heaters

Post by fergie68 »

The wife has a room in the garden for her sewing and stuff she's looking at a a heater for it.
It's 12m square .

Anyone have any experience of these things .

Edit.... The above things appear to be total s***e and a bit of a scam.

A few guys I know have fitted them into vans .
Got an eberspacher in my sprinter - dealer fit option when I bought it. Can't remember the last time I used it.
Commonly used on vans & boats - 'Ship happens adventures' on youtube have recently fitted a replacement to their second boat Boutari.
Their business is building campervans so they do have some experience!

Bit of random googling came up with this, but I expect it will depend on your wife being happy with something on those lines.

I have a feeling she will be happier with a oil filled radiator. :laughs:

I can just imagine Mrs p's reaction if I suggested one of the diesel heaters :laughs:

We have an electriq 2.0kw heater EGH20AW in the lounge (approx 28 sqm) which she wanted.
Works very quickly & doesn't need to be on long. Was on last night for under 10 minutes to go from 16 deg to 25.
Was originally bought for use in another room but has migrated to the lounge.

No idea as to running cost but it save having the central heating on.

I steer clear of anything combustible that comes from China on other people’s advise.

I was about to ask, how about one of those little Hobbit log burners, but I don’t suppose that would fly if her garden room is built of wood?

Just fitted a Lavaner 2kw in my van, it’s mint.
The Hcalory 5kw would be excellent for what you need, plenty of info on Chinese diesel heater group on fb.

I bought one of these last year to give the front room a boost when it's particularly cold. It works very well and will easily heat 12 square metres.

I can't remember how much I paid but they seem to be a few quid now. Reviews are good!

Edit, I paid £89

If you fit a diesel heater to your shed, van or boat get a carbon monoxide alarm too. Just like a smoke alarm. Cost between £10 - £20 and will save your life.

The whole of Scandinavia have log cabins with wood burners.

My wife's summer house/cabin with a new terrace I'd just finished building...
