This subject pops up regularly on the main forum, we're as well having a thread running here..
For starters, probably my all time fave, Shehallion from harvieston brewery. I'm also a huge fan of 3 or 4 different golden ales from Badger ales in Dorset, golden champion and tanglefoot being the best of those.

Maybe I’ll get into these as I get older but I’m 42 and still a lager lout, an ice old Estrella (I call it American cold) is unbeatable either in bottles or draft

I do quite like the Innis & Gunn Rum Finish if that counts?

I find it quite strong so the name is rather apt, always rum finish to the night if I drink that!

I’m also a lager man , Estrella same as Ben ( lovely taste )
But when it comes to Ales I personally love Smithwicks Irish ALE , Caffreys and if you can get it Kilkenny.

Nothing wrong with a good lager! As popular brands go, I like Peroni, or hop house 13 from guiness.

San Miguel as a last resort but Heineken Schmeineken is poor for me Dunc, Stella is undrinkable just full of chemicals and makes me ill, plus the after taste is weird, in my 20’s if a pub didn’t sell Stella I was disappointed, nowadays I avoid it like the plague!

If an off licence doesn’t have Estrella then I find Modello is a good reserve, cool looking bottles too

Stella is much better now it's 4.8 rather than 5.2. I was banned from it back then.

Poor taste in lager I know,

Had a brief spell on real ale and then crafts and another if the Belgium's, but "utility grade " lager is where I go back too.

Guinness. or vodka for me. the odd cider in the summer

I love drinking Thatchers Gold Cider in the summer, so nice and really refreshing

Flavoured ciders are a girls drink, period

Cider all year round for us west county boys, thatchers gold my usual but I like to try them all apart from strongbow.From around the age of 5 I'd go down to the thatchers farm with my old man in his robin reliant every couple of weeks to get a load of cider for him and his workmates. Back then it was just a barn with a load of barrels and two old boys with red faces.I'd have a little taste from all the barrels then sleep well on the way home!

This brewery does some fantastic beers. Belgian Blue is a firm favourite. This is my drink for right now - 28 days out of 31 in January have been dry for me. Just got to sit down at 9.55pm & my daughter turns 13 tomorrow - so i’ll raise a glass to her, she’s as near perfect as she could be .... so far!

Im a lager lout myself,Amstell is nice as is kronenberg 1664, the Guinness lager Hop House 13 is nice change as well, as for spirits I only drink Rum now, the spiced variety being my fave.

Don't mind larger on a hot day but I found I started to prefer ales once I got past my mid 20's.

Its become quite fashionable in the last few years which is good for me because a lot of bars sell decent stuff now where a few years ago it was just s***e largers. More or less all pubs do something I like Timothy Taylor, Moorhouses etc so I don't have to resort to John Smiths or something when I'm having more than a pint or two.

Larger's as other have said Estrella is good. Super bock I like but not as readily available, Moretti I like too and Hop house

I'm getting more and more into Italian lagers.
Birra moretti and Peroni have always been really nice, but just something you had when you were out for a meal. More supermarkets sell them these days though so pretty easy to get your hands on, both cracking beers.
Recently, my local co-op has started selling big 660ml bottles of Menabrea lager , for a paltry 2 quid. In these days of minimum unit pricing in Scotland, not only is that a bargain but it's f*****g delicious too, one if the nicest new beers I've had in years. I've yet to try an Italian beer I didn't like.

As some have said what you drink depends where you are and what your doing.

UK anytime - Ringwood Best, summer evening Mackason shandy or a small Perroni, curry lunch a limed Corolla.
Esp. all the time - San Miguel/Mahou
Por. anytime - Imperial, at my fishing club - Imperial mini or Super Bock
Ireland - Guinness (with a Paddy's chaser)!
France - fizzy water or Pepsi (cant stand French beer and their wine is adukturated)

Really enjoy Innis & Gunn Rummy but its like hens teeth down here.
