Perfect Draft beer pumps

Post by jonsykes »

Has anyone bought one of these (or similar) or been tempted? I know a few who have them & I've bit the bullet this week & ordered one. First beer delivery just arrived, just need the machine to land now.

Haha, cheers. I'm looking forward to the Jaipur & Goose IPA. Both lovely beers , but the Jaipur is too expensive to buy in those tiny cans.

That's to keep the Mrs sweet. She said I couldn't have one .... which made me want one all the more.
Should be fun when I take it home, she doesn't know yet.

Lad at work bought one of those Torpedoes....it works out almost as expensive as going to the boozer.......more if you drink in Wetherspoons. Downsize 8s no one to show off to at home either.
The kegs with the tap on seem to go a lot quicker than the tins in the fridge when I've had them.

I bought one in the heatwave/ world cup summer of 2018.

It's spot on for craft beer/ real ale (Jaipur  ) as you get that hand pulled pint feel, but couldn't really tell the difference with the lager.

Mine only comes out now at Christmas or for summer BBQs when the lads come round. Any other time of year, i'd struggle to drink a keg on my own before it went off.

On a side note, Beck's used to be my favorite pilsner style lager untill they lowered the abv to 4%. It's complete p**s water now!

As with all continental lagers, once they start brewing here under licence they completely lose their appeal. Becks, Stella, Grolsch, Cobra, San Miguel .... the list is endless. All taste tge same now & all from the same factory.

Just been looking at these
A lot of money, but I do like the idea
Only problem is the kegs are only 6L 10/10.5 pints
I’d be forever having to change the things .

They aren't cheap, and the kegs aren't either - but 10.5 pints will just see me through Fri, Sat & Sunday with a bottle of red wine for Sunday lunch.

Not much nice in cans in my book. OK if you're a Tennents Superstrength kind of guy I suppose. 8 cans of that in one hand & a bag of postcrete in the other..
