A relative works for a large brewer, gave me some samples to try, tasted a couple and the rest went down the sink.

Innes and Gunn is my home beer 🍻

I've tried loads, the best was in a 500ml bottle from sainsbury, their own brand, it was just called Czech low alcohol pilsner. Can't find it around here now. Genuinely tasted like real beer. Of them all, I keep going back to becks blue.

If I wanted alcohol free I'd drink dandelion and burdock. It tastes nicer than beer!

Adnams Ghost Ship alcohol free.

I used to drink that when it was my turn to be "des" and drive the pool team to an away game (back in the days when there was such a thing as a pub pool league!). Really not bad at all

Only tried it once during a brewery drivers strike, ended up putting vodka in it!

 Best ones I've tried if you like lager is the Erdinger 0.5% and if you go the other way BrewDog Nanny State is ok at 0.5%. Most of the 0% ones I've not liked at all for various reasons but there are many I've not tried but as a disclaimer I do usually drink and someone else drives

Had a few 'lucky saint' low alcohol beers over the festive there, was really tasty, genuinely like a real beer, albeit a fairly light/ weak one.

Got a couple of cans of Guinness 00 free over the hols. Tastes like watered down proper Guinness. Mixed 50/50 with the proper stuff it tasted ok.
I'll buy it again and at least ill be taking 50% less alcohol!

When I fished in Sweden, I had no idea that you couldn't buy beer stronger than 3.5% from a supermarket! They had Guinness at 3.5% and even though it isn't much weaker than our Guinness, it still tasted watery and generally a poor imitation. Same with Hobgoblin, which was also watered down to 3.5%. So, yeah, top tip for fishing in Sweden - find an off-licence or you'll drink crappy beer!

I tried a can of the wife's Bud zero it was actually quite good.
The Corona is ok too. Very hard to tell the difference from the normal one.

SanMiguel 0% can be hard to find, I stick a slice of lemon or lime through the neck, very nice. Rog
Just realised I've said this before, therefore it must be true.

Punk IPA was ok
Nanny state was ok
Hazy Jane was ok
Elvis juice (normally my favourite) was crap .

Sober October is nearly over anyway.πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜πŸ˜

I have a good friend who lives by Vanern in Sweden. When ever I visit him he always asks if I can bring beer from Denmark. In the small private marinas I often give owners a few nice bottles of wine for letting me launch and moor up out of season. It's like a currency, and always appreciated.

It shouldn't even be permitted to call it beer if it doesn't have a decent % of alcohol, say 5.5% and above, anything lower should be classed as vegan

I spent Christmas in Denmark, 20+ years ago ( had a danish girlfriend at the time) , going to the supermarket amazed me, the Danish blokes were piling loads of the Xmas beers they have over there into the back of their cars. They love a drink and any time of day!

Might need to try that Steve.
Regular Ghost Ship is my favourite bottled bitter for home drinking…
