fosdyke to the wash

Post by Alan_dalton »

Any one ever launched at fosdyke and get to the wash? Just googled it. The slips only 27miles from.my house and once there it only looks like 5 miles to the wash. Not sure how fast the tide runs though. I guess I would have to deduct that from the max speed of my boat, I'm guessing maybe 6mph off my top speed? Anyone got any idea?

Alan, have a look at the rule of 12ths, the tide run will always best fastest in the middle two hours of the tide run.

Try to plan your trip so you run with the tide rather than against it. Will save loads in fuel.
