The first and only time ive ever seen this was out on a boat on harelaw. I suspect they came off the island. We were seeing loads of them just floating by in the breeze on long threads of silk. Was really cool.

I've seen this quite a few times, but I didn't know the little buggers do this on purpose to move around. That's scary. lol

Was fishing a lake last year ,
I Was Covered in baby spiders 🕷
Amazing thing to see,what looked like thousands floating passed in the breeze.

These sheep were feeding in a field of spiders. There were webs in the hedges too. It must have been migration time.

Not just baby spiders do it. Got some pics somewhere of quite largish spiders festooning my rods one misty night whilst barbeling.
Will try one dig them out
