Shimano 5000xtea prices!
Well I’ve had (now sold) 10000xtea’s and I still have just one in the 6000 size .... but how I wish I’d bought a bundle of the 5000’s when they were still in production. Look at the price of this, & the seller has another one up too.

Crazy isn’t it, and that’s nothing new. But Shimano say there’s no market for 5000 sized baitrunners

Re: Shimano 5000xtea prices!
I think that price is somewhat optimistic. About £50 to 70 is fair for mint condition reels. You'd need to be an utter mug to pay any more. I have four of them and super glad I bought them when I did, as the 5000 size is so right for many types of fishing. I use mine for margin carp fishing and all my floater fishing/stalking. They also get used for my occasional Barbel trips and small water carp fishing. Shame Shimano dropped that size baitrunner... they sit just right on 10ft carp rods, which are starting to gain in popularity. Maybe they'll resurrect the 5000...

Yes I saw it bud, one for £132 today too. Some clever timing from the sellers - Barbel time.

Ah yes I do always try to sell pike stuff in autumn and pike fly stuff I spring. When’s the best time to sell Carp stuff?
