Good bit of kit, never used it for fishing. Had it in the back of the car for days out and camping. Would be great though on fishing trips . I never used the small camping canisters on my so cant comment on how long they would last, I have always used a bigger refillable cylinder. I now use the cadac now as my family has grown and that's fantastic managed a full sunday dinner on that. The safari chef is a versatile bit of kit . The safari chef 2 looks much better than the one I own (safari chef 1) it has a much better gas control (it's now the same as the cadac one) which is much improved and it has non stick pans which mine one dosent have. Is basically just a smaller version on a cadac which is a versatile cooker.

Thanks Alan, picked a HP version up today, 1st impressions look very good. I like the versitility in a very compact package, other than Coleman for brewing up, I can see this being the main cooker for my French carp trips.

Going to cook some basic bbq bits on it later

Have used it a couple of times now, fantastic bit of kit when you are going to stay put for a while or in the boat.
