How about string/nylon crab line strung across the area to put the bigger birds off but still be easy for the t*ts to negotiate.

I've had the camera on a tripod pointed at the nest box for days, lots of activity last night, but no fledglings, this morning, gone, box is empty! Raging! Never even saw the chicks other than a wee beak poking out the hole. I thought they'd hang about the garden for a bit. :cry:
