Taken a few years ago, coming back to the lodge at Rutland, had on my screen saver at work, an angler was in the office one time, he looked at the image and said "Blimey Andy (Work colleague) has got a chin on him" I then told him it was of Me!! he was slightly embarrassed, made me smile

Not really a sunset, but a break in the clouds along the river after a blank. The sun peeped its head out for a brief few seconds, I expected a Monty Python-like hand to pop down.

Hi Will no filters involved, I might have tricked the camera metering. I’m a point and shoot type got the gear but no idea :red: I understand the framing and timing part but let the camera do the rest. :laughs:
The more you pay the better they are at doing it.

The shot was on he tail end of a passing storm with the long end of a 100-400 lens.
Staying at a friends house in a the Hills of Santa Fe.
Here’s the storm clouds the 2nd is approx where I zoomed from

I like that, it reminds me of a venue in Essex that we used to visit for some Tench fishing many years ago. It also has done a very big Pike that was well documented.

I used to love the place. Now it's been taken over by pot-smoking anglers and their pot-bellied fish. Last I heard they were set on removing the roach and bream, and maybe the tench.
