Home made lure

Post by bacon »

My brother made me a home made lure, wired through and weighted, big lip currently but I can trim it slightly if it dives too quickly. Using a bath full of water he said it has a pretty good action and is quite well balanced.

I've stuck some 1/0 trebles on and it comes to 69g at 140mm long excluding the lip, can't wait to try it out and see how it moves in the water! I think he's done a rather good job.

I think your brother has done a superb job. Will be a real pleasure to catch on it. Good luck.

That's a cracking bit of work! Your brother should be very proud of his creation.
Whatever you catch on it is going to be just that little bit more satisfying I think.

Yeah I agree it's brilliant, he's been showing me pics and I've been waiting patiently for it to arrive through the post!

He invested in a air brush setup and has been having a play. He has a few other lures he made a while ago for bass that weren't weighted very well. So he practiced on those before painting this one.

Wow he has some talent there, my old home made creations are comical! The only way I would get a fish on one is if it knocked a pike out on the cast.

In the end, it’s not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

Looks like a lovely lure and hope it has an action as good as it looks.
If he decides to sell a few in due course, I would certainly be an interested customer!
