Farmison Ready Meals

Post by Ben »

These are perfect for fishing trips and extremely good value at the moment, I’ve tried them all except Thai Green Curry (which I don't like) and they’re all very tasty.

Scroll down to see the ready meal range, ten different variations on offer….

They’re “made” by Jeff Baker who held a Michelin star for 11 years so you know the flavour balance is bang on.

Far tastier then the ready meal pish at Tesco et al, probably cheaper as well whilst they’re on offer.

I’ve just had the chilli con carne, defrosted in the packet quickly in luke warm water then up to temp in the pan and served with a £1 packet of Waitrose Mexican rice. A nice, tasty, cheap and quick meal.

Serves two but I ate it all!

Does it arrive frozen Ben?
The whole range looks pretty good so I may give them a try if it arrives in frozen or hard chilled.

Thanks for posting,

I was in Barnard Castle recently (not for an eye test) and had a cuppa and steak pie in a local cafe/deli.

As we finished and the proprietor collected our plates, she told us it was actually buffalo meat. It was really good!

I had Buffalo in Texas, was very nice.

I’m also partial to Kangaroo, it’s like a sweeter tasting beef steak

Funny thing is Ben. If I'd known before hand, I might have back heeled it.

Not a very adventurous eater!

It's just meat basically it's a cow more or less  I'd never have thought you would be so fussy. Though a restaurant really should be telling you what you are eating. If I order steak I expect cow not buffalo, Very fine line that one.

It's just me Croftus.

I know meat is meat. It's a cultural thing, would you eat dog? I reckon I'd go horse but not goat. Unexplainable really.

Thanks Ben, I rather fancy trying the meat balls.

Ive eaten horse steaks while in early '70's Amsterdam which were okay, NB Horse fat is much yellower than beef.
Once had a blindingly hot meal of sheeps lungs, along with a few meals of camel that were acceptable, mind you the dancer was better.
Also tried a badger ham and once was enough, it was rank awful. Heron was okay but not enough of it, seagull ugh!

Perhaps its just me but I will try anything in the food line once.
