Jig fly traces

Looking to make some wire traces for fishing the jig flies is there any wire that lends it self better to this task than others , fishing 7-28gr rod with 25 lb braid , thanks in advance lee ps
Going through shop bought made up ones like no tomorrow

24lb cahira multistrand, I only used a couple of leaders all last year, and that's only because I lost the first to a snag.
